Christmas Opening Hours

We are open until 5.30pm on Saturday 23rd December 2023 when we close for the Christmas holiday period, so please note that we are closed on Christmas Eve (Sunday 24th December).

We re-open on Tuesday 2nd January 2024. Our January opening hours are 9am to 5pm on Monday to Saturdays and 10am-4pm on Sundays. Our usual opening hours of 9am to 5.30pm run from February until December.

We still have many different plants that can be a Christmas gifts including a large selection of trees that will be a gift that lasts a lifetime.

We also have:

Winter-flowering pansies and violas: These flowers can add colour to brighten up your garden during the winter months.

Winter-flowering heathers: Erica carnea and Erica x darleyensis are examples of heathers that bloom in winter, providing both colour and texture.

Cyclamen: Cyclamen hederifolium and Cyclamen coum are winter-flowering varieties that can be planted in the autumn for winter colour, these are hardy and come back every year. Alternatively, we still have the bedding cyclamen that provide colour for the winter.

Hellebores: Also known as Christmas or Lenten roses, hellebores produce flowers in late winter and early spring. They are available in various colours from whites to reds and purples and lots of colours in between.

Winter Jasmine (Jasminum nudiflorum): This deciduous shrub produces bright yellow flowers in winter.

Mahonia: Mahonia varieties, such as Mahonia x media, have fragrant yellow flowers in late autumn and winter.

Skimmia: These small, compact shrubs are evergreen and have red flower buds all winter that open to white flowers in the spring.

Cornus (Dogwoods): The bark on Cornus provide a bright winter colour from the firy oranges of Cornus ‘Midwinter Fire’ to the reds of ‘Elegantissima’ and yellows of ‘Flava’.
