Greenshutters Garden Centre, near Taunton, is nestled in the heart of the Somerset countryside.
We pride ourselves on good customer service, good quality plants and we hope you will find a pleasant place to wander and enjoy the plants. We have a great team who are always willing to help and give advice or help load your car.
Our Garden Centre
Greenshutters Garden Centre is based in the village of Fivehead, near Taunton in Somerset. We are a garden centre with the emphasis on garden plants.
Greenshutters Garden Centre is open 7 days a week and stocks an extensive range of plants including trees, shrubs, herbaceous perennials, specimen conifers, magnolia, rhododendrons, azaleas, hydrangeas and Japanese maples.
We are well known in Somerset for our large selection of trees and hedging plants including large, mature trees.
We also have bedding plants and hanging baskets for sale throughout the year. Our wooden greenhouse has recently been restored and we have benches for you to rest your feet as you wander around or sit and admire the fabulous view across the Somerset Levels to the Quantock Hills.
Greenshutters Garden Centre is well worth a visit.
Our Nursery
Greenshutters Garden Centre is part of Greenshutters Nurseries Ltd, near Taunton in Somerset. The nursery is situated behind the garden centre and we have over 10,000 plants available. We also have another 14 acre site where we grow many of our plants for our online hedging website. This is approximately a quarter of a mile away from the main nursery and garden centre
We are probably the largest grower and retailer of Evergreen Hedging Plants in the south west of England. We grow for our Garden Centre in Somerset and our online hedging shop EVERGREENHEDGING.com. Our main lines of production are Laurel, Portugal Laurel, Leylandii, Western Red Cedar (Thuja) and Conifers. Delivery is available nationwide using couriers.
Greenshutters Nurseries is independently owned by Roger Eavis. The Eavis family have been growing garden plants for three generations since the 1940’s.
Greenshutters Nurseries in Somerset grows thousands of plants a year to supply Evergreenhedging.com and our Garden Centre.
