Greenshutters Garden Centre Newsletter July 2026

The summer sunshine is here and it looks like it is going to be a bright July. Our plants have been responding to the abundant sunshine with a spectacular show, and the garden centre is looking especially colourful.

If you are planning parties, BBQ’s or World Cup Football Get-Togethers in the garden and need to brighten it up instantly, we have plenty of colourful plants to do the job. You can still plant or pot up plants in the hot weather, you just need to keep them well-watered.

For summer pots, baskets and border, we still have Bedding & Basket Plants such as Geraniums, Begonias, Petunias, Busy Lizzies, Fuchsias and my favourite, the very fragrant Nemesia.

For more summer colour in the borders we have a fantastic selection of Summer Flowering Herbaceous Perennials such as Agapanthus, Salvia, Echinacea, Echinops, Dahlia and Alstroemeria with more arriving all the time.

The Hydrangeas are all looking fantastic at the moment, we have a selection of different types including Mopheads, Paniculata, Lacecap and Arborescens including some large specimens for instant impact.
